The Malaysian Mensa committee started the new term with a bang.
1) Thousands of postcards were sent to attract past members
2) There are now 3-5 events & activities each month and still growing
with contribution from internal Groups. Effort was also taken to cater for
all types of interest.
3) The first batch of constitutional amendments have been approved by
members via nation-wide ballot and is being processed by the ROS now
4) Three of our members appeared in the news. Vice-Chairman Jay in
The Star and The Sun for attending the Mensa Annual Gatherings in the
US and Europe. Chairman Azrai on Hello on Two (TV2) on 2 August
with regards to EQ, IQ and Mensa. Finally our Scrabble group
coordinator, Benjamin appeared in The Sun for being a top graduate.
Watch out for our Chairman again on the radio BFM 89.9 at 3pm August
10th.
We are also still looking for member volunteers to help with the following:
1) Assistant Editor (for the magazine)
2) Assistant Webmaster (for this web)
3) Database Developer/Customizer (on MS Access)
4) Assistant Event Coordinators (many required - do a little bit each)
5) Local Groups Officer (help establish presence all around Malaysia)
